"To Pimp A Butterfly" 10th Anniversary Album Redesign CD Mockup

This album was made for my Raster Graphics with Photoshop class in Summer 2025 semester at CCAC. This project was the final assignment of the class.

This vinyl covered is based on the 2015 released album “To Pimp a Butterfly” by Kendrick Lamar. What inspired me to create the updated cover designs was a photo taken of Kendrick and others while wrapping up the 2024 Pop Out Show live concert in LA. This vinyl cover was made in 2025, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the album.

My design symbolizes the original design of the album. But this time around, it shows how much time has passed since 2015 for the anniversary. On the front cover, Kendrick Lamar is the only who has any color in the photo besides his name. On the back cover, it lists Side A & Side B with a butterfly in the top left corner. The vinyl record only has a grayscale butterfly, like the one of the alternative vinyl designs that were released back when it came out.

The font used in this project is called La Storia -Demo-. The text on the bottom is like Kendrick’s 2012 album cover of “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City”, where the name appears to be written on the bottom.

"LA COLORS" Backer Redesign, Fall 2025

This project was one of the most interesting designs I’ve made so far in my graphic design journey. This is a backer redesign of LA Colors makeup from Graphic Communications 3 – a class I took from CCAC during the Fall of 2025. In retrospect, this was one of the quickest assignments to be conceptualized. It had to be made in a week if I can recall.

To start with the design, I had to buy the LA Colors products from my local Dollar Store. Then, I took the products out of the plastic that was glued to their original cardboard backer designs. I measure the original packaging, and I started to plan out my design. The finalized cardboard designs were created in Adobe Illustrator. All of the information for each item is the same from their original ones, which includes the ingredients on the back cover.

After I finished the Illustrator designs, I started the more difficult part of the project – putting it together. After tweaking the designs to make the front and back align, I glue both sides together onto a thicker paper and cut it out. Then I use the same spray adhesive for the products to give the concept of what it would look like in stores. Then, I photograph them and design a mockup that brings the concept to life for advertisements.

Eden's Harvest Wine Packaging Design, Fall 2025

This was made during my Graphic Communications 3 class in the Fall of 2025. Out of all my projects that I’ve made during my time in CCAC, this design was the most effort I brought to life, and one of my personal favorite pieces I’ve created so far in my creative journey.

Eden’s Harvest is a 4-bottle wine package like Sutter Home, of 4 pack alcoholic beverages that are carried in stores. The inspiration for this design was to create something that can be considered classy, while also being easily accessible to average customers. I wanted to make an alcoholic that has the aesthetic of the 2000s. In a way, Eden’s Harvest can be perceived as a brand with class, but also still down-to-earth for the average working person to buy at your local grocery store.

A mockup website was made in Figma to showcase the design for what a digital store for Eden’s Harvest would appear. The reason why a website mockup was created is because it can show how a brand can translate from products to online advertising and marketing. The final mockup design has the bottles lined up to the right, and the packaging design to the other side.
